Here is what others have to say about the Preparedness Pantry Masterclass

“I love the Preparedness Pantry Masterclass because it shares a system that I will use year-round, not just in anticipation of an emergency. There are plenty of websites that teach you “prepper” techniques. While I want to be prepared for a natural disaster, I don’t want to fill my house with “just-in-case” foods. Mira stresses the importance of stocking food you will eat and how to rotate them (like chocolate!). You will actually use the foods you buy, and they won’t go bad or expire. This class teaches you how much to buy for your family, how to preserve food, and clever ways to create pantry space in your home. It also offers recommendations for first aid kits, cleaning supplies, and, of course, pet necessities.

My favorite trick this program offers is how to create a delicious, nourishing one-pot meal in fifteen minutes—night after night without eating the same thing twice.”

Donna Mosher

“Thank you for your timely reminders about preparedness. A big part of our growing-up years is learning how to think about the what-ifs and what you need in case you got stuck. Today the largest stressor or concern for may during the holidays is travel and road closures due to snow, fog, and or accidents/ We drive on remote roads almost daily and have done so our whole lives. So we always have a few "Just in case" items. Which turn out to be pretty handy for fun too.”

Tammera Karr

“This class really helped me organize well everything needed for an emergency in our area and/ or our home. I always thought we were “ prepared” but Mira taught us much about preparing food for several days, having a bag ready to go in case of evacuations, etc.. and many other essential items to prepare I had never considered and are  now are set for our family. It’s the most inclusive class I have found to prepare us for any emergencies. ”

Mary Kay

“The Kitchen Table is a wonderful community if you are trying to take consistent action towards cleaning up your pantry and get in a good routine with healthy meal prep. I love that Mira includes extensive information on how to prepare your household for natural disasters and food shortages using the same practical and health-focused approach that you will find in the Pantry Principle. The Preparedness Pantry Masterclass is really unique in that teaches you to integrate preparedness into your normal routine and build a pantry full of clean, nourishing staples. I recommend it to everyone!”

Erin Knight

“The Kitchen Table is an absolute gem of a resource, thanks to Mira Dessy’s deep knowledge and passion for health and preparedness. No matter where you are in your health journey, Mira’s research-backed insights and practical tips make healthy living more approachable and sustainable. With so much health information out there, I love how Mira simplifies it all and keeps me up to date—it's something I truly appreciate as a chef and nutrition educator.

One of most valuable sections is the Preparedness Pantry Masterclass, which is packed with important, often-overlooked information. Mira created a yearly calendar with easy reminders, and recently, she taught a class on bug-out bags and digital preparedness, which were incredibly timely and useful with the frequent power outages where I live.

The Kitchen Table isn’t just a program—it’s an interactive holistic wellness community. I highly recommend checking it out and joining us.”

Shawn Borup

“I’ve been a member of The Kitchen Table since the beginning. Mira is a wealth of information. One of the things I like best is the frequent opportunities to ask anything I want about nutrition or healthy cooking. I always have questions and Mira always has answers. I’ve been slowly implementing some of her instructions for emergency preparedness that go beyond kitchen and nutrition. During a recent hurricane I was out of town, but was able to give the housesitter immediate instructions for where to find everything she’d need to keep my home and more important, herself, safe during the crisis. I get way more than my money’s worth in Mira’s Zoom calls, emails, Substack, book club and library of resources.”

The Ingredient Guru

Mira Dessy is The Ingredient Guru. A holistic nutrition professional, author, and popular public speaker, she knows that it's not just what you eat, but what's in what you eat. She is a Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner who has been working with clients for over 16 years helping those with chronic health issues find nourishing and toxin-free solutions for wellness. After experiencing years of debilitating digestive issues and health challenges, Mira realized the healing strength of food when she learned to eat right for her body – slowly but surely regaining her health. Her recovery and its connection to food and eating made such a powerful impact that she returned to school and earned certification as a Nutrition Educator. Mira was inspired to share the knowledge she gained on her journey to better health and wrote The Pantry Principle: how to read the label and understand what’s really in your food. The Pantry Principle explains the hidden ingredients lurking on grocery store shelves, presents valuable information that is easy to understand and offers suggestions for healthier choices while encouraging your progress one step at a time. Mira is passionate about what’s in (and on) our food and how this affects our health. It’s truly not just what you eat, it can be what’s in what you eat as well. Sadly, many of us don’t really know what’s in our food and manufacturers often make this issue as confusing and complicated as possible. There’s so much information available online that can be conflicting, overwhelming, or just plain wrong for your particular body. Mira teaches food-based support for every body to help make lifestyle changes for long-term wellness. Mira’s mission as The Ingredient Guru is to help people feel balanced, healthy, and to support them as they work to achieve their health goals. Each body is unique, exceptional, one of a kind. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. Through individual consults, public speaking events, and wellness seminars, Mira focuses on education, knowledge, and empowerment coupled with the valuable lessons she learned in her own journey to health to support and encourage us all to eat well and be well. Mira is a member of the National Association of Nutrition Professionals, the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, the American Nutrition Association, and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners.
